The track opens with Jim Carrey's commencement speech. The speech inspired me to write without a filter (hence the album title).
This track was written based off of the first night I hung out with a friend. Most of the lyrics are verbatim our conversation with my thoughts about the evening sung and not held back in my notes. The first verse is written in my perspective and the second verse in hers. A cross of my voice with someone else's at the end would have been ideal but hey....

LYRICS
"So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect, so we never dare to ask the universe for it. I’m saying, I’m the proof that you can ask the universe for it. My father could have been a great comedian, but he didn’t believe that was possible for him, and so he made a conservative choice. Instead, he got a safe job as an accountant, and when I was 12 years old, he was let go from that safe job and our family had to do whatever we could to survive. I learned many great lessons from my father, not the least of which was that you can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love."
Don't call me "hun" unless you mean it
I can take this as a joke but underneath I fell it
As something more then this
I can see us workin' out
We don't have a lot of time and we're always filled with doubt
Focus on my eyes it's how I know you're here
Tell me something funny, talk dirty in my ear
Get close, get physical, so I can smell your hair
Leave your sent on my pillow
So when you leave, you're still there
Let's show off our tattoos tonight
If it's to hot to keep these pants on
If I take them off, you gonna' be alright
Not enough sleep for the both of us
Keep talking, tell me something so I can stay up
Sharing information no one knows
This is what love means
Your body comes closer as I go
Taking it all in to end the scene
My scent on your pillow fades away
Tomorrow we'll wake up with two headaches
Why does work always get in the way
(And ) You can still talk when I have nothing to say
Cross - repeated twice
"Focus on my eyes it's how I know you're here
Tell me something funny, talk dirty in my ear
Get close, get physical, so I can smell your hair
Leave your sent on my pillow
So when you leave, you're still there"
"Let's show off our tattoos tonight
If it's to hot to keep these pants on
If I take them off, you gonna' be alright
Not enough sleep for the both of us
Keep talking, tell me something so I can stay up"
